The bar chart gives data about the amount of money spent on five consumer products, including cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras, in France and the UK in 2010. Units are measured in pounds sterling.
Overall, the French and the British alike spent more money on cars than any other products, while perfume and cameras were the least used goods over the period given. Furthermore, the most noticeable difference between the expenditure of the two countries was on cameras.
With regards to cars, people in the UK spent about 450,000 pounds as opposed to the French who spent 400,000 pounds; likewise, the British people spent more money on books than the French [just over 400,000 pounds and 300,000 pounds respectively]. At the same time, expenditure on cameras was roughly 350,000 pounds in the UK, compared to a negligible amount of 150,000 pounds in France.
On the contrary, the spending on the remaining goods was dominated by the French. In terms of computers, the French people spent about 375,000 pounds on this, which was slightly higher than the expenditure of the British who spent 350,000. Turning to the amount of money spent on perfume, similarly, it accounted for 200,000 pounds in France, while the British people spent just under 150,000 pounds.
Notice how I have used (with regards to, in terms of, turning to, likewise, on the contrary, similarly, compared to, as opposed to, which, who, dominate, negligible) and make sure you also employ them in your essays naturally and precisely
